Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of FinForensics, operated by Empowered Humanity, Inc., a Colorado corporation. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. What the service is

FinForensics imports financial data from accounts and documents you provide, categorizes and reconciles it, and generates reports — including profit-and-loss statements, tax drafts, reconciliation reports, and forensic analyses.

The output is a draft prepared from the data you supply. It is not tax advice, legal advice, financial advice, or an audit, and we are not a certified public accounting firm. You are responsible for reviewing every figure before relying on it, filing it, or submitting it to any authority or court. Have a qualified professional review anything consequential.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access

3. Your data and connected accounts

You retain ownership of the financial data and documents you provide. You grant us the limited right to process that data to operate the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

By connecting a financial account, you represent that you are authorized to access it and to share its data with us. Connections are read-only; we cannot move money. You may disconnect any account at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Connect accounts or upload records you are not authorized to access
• Use the service to violate any law, or to commit or facilitate fraud
• Attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent our security or access another user’s data
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service without written permission
• Overload or interfere with the infrastructure

5. Payment

Paid features are sold as credits or subscriptions and processed by Stripe. Charges are stated at purchase. Subscriptions renew until cancelled and may be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Credits do not expire but are non-refundable once consumed. If you believe you were billed in error, contact us and we will review it in good faith.

6. Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and connections to financial institutions depend on third parties and may break or be discontinued outside our control. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that categorizations, reconciliations, or reports will be free of errors or complete. Accuracy depends on the completeness and correctness of the data you connect or upload.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Empowered Humanity, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Empowered Humanity, Inc. against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your connection of accounts or upload of records you were not authorized to provide.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity — will survive.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in the application before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
